Email message from McAfee LiveSafe, with details about a fake subscription including an order number and charges for $419. The email itself was from nikksmith48589@gmail.com. There were no links in the email, just a phone number, 1 (800)-484-1498. I called the phone number and got connected to a male with an Indian accent who answered the phone as "McAfee" in a loud room. He asked me if I wanted to cancel, and when I said yes he tried to get me to install remote-access software on my computer. After asking why they needed me to do that just to cancel my order, he hung up. Then I received other calls from other "McAfee" representatives with Indian accents (985-313-2227 and 315-523-7399) asking me about my cancellation, but telling me different amounts from the email. Looks like an elaborate, decently-staffed attempt to install back-doors.
